Much Ado About Nothing
I’m Michalene—Mikki—and most of the time, I’m just paying attention.
Nature first caught my eye while walking land for real estate—usually looking for property lines or buried tanks, not beauty. But over time, the shoreline started revealing itself: a fox pausing near the tree line, a mink slipping down a hill, the stillness before a storm rolls in. What started as part of my work turned into something quieter, and much more meaningful.
Over the years, we’ve been lucky to witness moments that don’t ask to be noticed—wildlife doing what it does, undisturbed. Sometimes funny, sometimes startling, sometimes so still you almost miss it. I’ve shared those moments with my children, and now we’re sharing them with you.
Snake Road and the North Shore have taught me more about land, real estate, and nature than any manual or meeting ever could.
The seasons, the storms, the early light, the way animals move through it all—it’s not content. It’s connection. And if this helps someone slow down long enough to see it too, then it’s worth sharing.
